About MMOF

Mission

The Maryland Men of Faith desire to live as men of God and to fulfill His plan for us. We challenge and encourage each other to incorporate Jesus in all that we do – this includes our plans, our families, our relationships and our jobs. The Maryland Men of Faith ministry focuses on teaching and learning from the Word of God so that we might continuously grow in His likeness and reflect Christ to others.

Annual Conference

Maryland Men of Faith provides an annual one day conference on the first Saturday in October. The one day event features speakers, seminars and fellowship designed to encourage us and challenge us to be real men of God. Click here for more information about the upcoming annual conference.

In addition, highlights and free downloadable recordings from past meetings can be found here.

Want to Help?

MMOF is supported by the personal ministries of the Atholton and Baltimore First Seventh-day Adventist churches and is led by laymen from these and other area churches. If you share our burden for strengthening Christian men and are interested in participating in the MMOF in the future please contact us!

Not everyone has the time required to volunteer to help organize the MMOF conference. However, also of importance are funds necessary to support and promote the conference so that the registration fees can remain low. Presently the MMOF costs are covered by both registration fees and the donations of supporters of the MMOF ministry. If you share an interest in MMOF and its mission please consider lending your support by making a tax deductible donation to MMOF.

History of MMOF

The Maryland Men of Faith (MMOF) idea began with one layman from the Atholton SDA Church. Eight years earlier he had attended a Michigan Men of Faith Conference that changed his life. The conference inspired him to be a more committed father, husband and follower of his Creator.

Recognizing the needs of others around him the idea came to begin a similar conference in his new home state of Maryland. He prayerfully reached out to two other laymen with the idea. All three men saw the need, and began to meet regularly to organize the first MMOF Conference in October, 2006.

From the beginning, local churches and the Chesapeake Conference of SDA have fully supported the laymen organizers of the MMOF ministry. Since 2006 the laymen volunteers have grown in number, and they spread the work among them as their God given talents allow.

The formula for the MMOF Conference remains the same: to provide speakers, seminars and opportunities for Christian fellowship that challenge and encourage men in their everyday lives.

Your contributions help to make this ministry possible. To donate online or by mail, please click "Donate." Donations to support MMOF are tax deductible as permitted by law.

Each year at our Annual Conference, MMOF takes up an offering and dedicates the funds to a worthy project. We gratefully accept donations specifically for this purpose, and all funds donated go directly to the chosen project.

The 2011 offering will be going to King's Messengers and will be used to support prison ministries and evangelism in Kenya. Find out more here.
