Maryland Men of Faith 2009 Conference
”What Doest Thou Here?”
The theme for the 2009 conference, “What Doest Thou Here?”, was taken from the story of Elijah in 1 Kings 19:9,13. Men of today may not be where God would have them to be, and God could rightly ask us, as He did Elijah, “What Doest Thou Here?”
The 4th Annual Maryland Men of Faith Conference was held on October 3, 2009. Elder Dave Weigley, Columbia Union President, shared the divine hour message in which he compared our lives to that of Elijah. Like Elijah we may be in a cave where God does not intend us to be. We may be in the cave of materialism or moral impurity among others. If so, God asks "What are you doing here?" More than this, God sent Jesus to empower you to get out of those caves.
125 area men attended this years conference at the Mt. Aetna Camp and Retreat Center in Hagerstown, Maryland. Seminars were presented by John Appel (Ministerial Director, Chesapeake Conference), Alden Ho (Director, Wheel Salt Ministries), Steve Jencks (Pastor, Atholton SDA Church), Robb Long (Pastor, Triadelphia SDA Church), Roosevelt Marsden (Pastor, Pikesville SDA Church) and Richard O'Ffill (Author/Speaker/Revivalist).
