Jim Howard is the associate director of the General Conference Sabbath School and Personal Ministries department. He has also served as a pastor in the Ohio and Michigan conferences, and as the evangelism coordinator and personal ministries director for the Michigan Conference. His ministry was preceded by a twelve-year accounting career as a business unit controller. Throughout his ministry of preaching, teaching, training, and developing soul-winning resources, Elder Howard’s burden is to lead every member to a closer walk with Jesus through communion with God, fellowship with the church, and active involvement in both personal and public outreach.
Carl Rodriguez was born in New York City and educated in the Roman Catholic tradition until the age of 12 where he adopted an atheistic view. In 1978, he accepted Christ and was baptized a year later. He and his wife Mary have one daughter Elizabeth and continuously adopt felines and canines as part of their family. Pastor Rodriguez now serves as director of youth and family life at the Chesapeake Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
Diego Boquer is a father, author, and pastor who is passionate about Jesus and His grace. He currently pastors the Baltimore White Marsh Seventh-day Adventist Church. He has had the privilege to speak in several different countries about the love of God and his walk from atheism into the pastoral ministry. Certified by Prepare and Enrich (a marriage enrichment tool) as a coach for prospect facilitators, Pr. Boquer has conducted dozens of family counseling and marital sessions. The best part of his life is his wife Hellen, his son Gabriel, and soon-to-be-born daughter Hannah Belle.
Josue Feliciano grew up making mistakes with money ever since he can remember. In 2008 after listening to Christian radio, he heard information that pointed him and his wife Meliza on new financial journey, getting out of debt and pointing to a promising future. Today they find themselves out of debt. His goal is to share what he has learned with others and how to better protect their families using tried and true methods approved by God and grandmothers.
Philip Collins is a graduate of Loma Linda University with master’s and doctoral degrees in public health. Having been in lifestyle medicine for over forty years, he served as the director of the Wellness and Cardiac Rehabilitation Department at Park Ridge Hospital in Fletcher, North Carolina. Currently Dr. Collins is in private practice in North Carolina.
Shelvan Arunan is a native Sri Lankan and has resided in the U.S. for the past thirty years. With over forty years of experience working with the Seventh-day Adventist Church and its health care systems, he is an ordained Seventh-day Adventist minister. He served as the executive director of mission integration and spiritual care and director of clinical pastoral education for Adventist HealthCare in Rockville, Maryland. Dr. Arunan is an accomplished certified Christian conciliator, pastor, chaplain, evangelist, ministerial director, family life educator, pastoral care administrator, clinical pastoral educator, and modern psychoanalysis group therapist. Currently he is the senior pastor at the Mizo Seventh-day Adventist Church in Silver Spring, Maryland. He holds endorsements and certifications with twenty spiritual and professional counseling organizations, as well as master's and doctoral degrees in pastoral counseling, psychology, and practical theology.
