Pastor Chris Holland | Keynote: “Six Words That Drive Fear Away” | Seminar: “Fearing God Alone: Biblical Manhood in the 21st Century” | Final Charge: “Waking From the Slumber”

Pastor Chris Holland is senior evangelist for Hope Channel International and President-elect of the Living Hope School of Evangelism.  He previously served as  Speaker/Director for It Is Written Canada. In 20 years of ministry he has additionally served as a local pastor, local conference departmental director and for the North American Division.  Chris has been involved in media ministry since his early undergraduate years in college where he was involved with both television and radio programs.  It is his sincere desire to know Jesus more and to utilize the many media outlets to preach God’s word with power. Since their marriage in 1996, Chris and his wife Debbie have served the Lord together and strive to do all that they can to fulfill His commission to take the Gospel to the “ends of the earth”.

 

Pastor Justin Kim | Seminar: “Navigating Through Politics: Lessons from Adventist History”

Pr. Justin Kim serves as Assistant Director of Sabbath School & Personal Ministries and editor of the young adult inVerse Bible Study Guide for the General Conference World Headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He has also been an overseas missionary, local church pastor, and director of multiple departments. Pr. Kim graduated from a Catholic secondary school; majored in sociology and biology at the Jewish-sponsored Brandeis University; researched at Harvard Medical; studied theology and pastoral ministry at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary; preached in more than 30 countries; and is a friend of books and an enemy of cilantro/coriander. A husband to Rachel and father to Noah and Nathaniel, he is also the host of the inVerse telecast on Hope Channel (hopetv.org) and co-founder of GYC.

 

Dr. Torben Bergland | Seminar: “Attachment – living without fear in relationships”

Dr. Torben Bergland is one of the Associate Directors of the Health Ministries Department of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, the global headquarter of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He is originally from Norway. As a lay member he has served as a Youth leader, Sabbath School leader and an ordained elder in local churches. As a psychiatrist and psychotherapist, he has taken a special interest in working with patients with depression, anxiety and personality disorders, as well as integrating relational, religious and existential perspectives in psychotherapy. In 2015, he accepted the call as Health Ministries Director of the Trans-European Division based in St Albans, England. In 2018, he transferred to the General Conference as Associate Director with a special focus on mental health, and the health and wellbeing of church workers.

Pastor Diego Boquer| Seminar: “Good in Bed? Overcoming man's deepest fears.”

Pastor D is native from Brazil and naturalized American. He currently pastors the Baltimore White Marsh SDA church in Baltimore, Maryland, a church known for its diversity with more than 43 nations represented in Chesapeake Conference. Diego is also involved in a church plant and Center of Influence in Baltimore—Urban Life Center. He is the founder of Make Family Count (www.MakeFamilyCount.com), a ministry designed to help couples and families thrive and he is the co-host of Facts and Fables, a Hope Channel production. Pastor D is part of the John Maxwell Leadership team and has a passion for leadership development. He holds an M.A in Pastoral Ministry from Andrews University. He is also the author of the book Journey to Freedom: Leaving the Past Behind and Moving to a New Life and articles published by official church magazines. The best part of Diego is that he is married to Hellen, the love of his life, and they have two kids, Gabriel, four-year-old, and Hannah Belle, twenty-month-old.  

 

Brent Hardinge | Seminar: Embracing Digital Evangelism - How Social Media and the Web is Changing the Church

Brent Hardinge is a communicator who is passionate about helping the church to build better websites and use technology to reach people. The son of a pastor and health educator, he spent his early years living in Asia and the West Coast of the United States. Brent is currently working as an Assistant Director for Communication at the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist, where he oversees the Adventist Living Pattern System, global church websites, and communication technology. Prior to joining the General Conference, he worked in the North Pacific Union Conference and the Upper Columbia Conference building websites and implementing technology to help the church online. Brent lives with his wife and 3 kids in Maryland, USA.

This year, the outreach offering will go towards a water purification system in Tunisia. Clean water is scarce there and your donations will help provide clean water for a local community.
