Douglas Na’a | Keynote and Final Charge Speaker | Seminar - Manly Ways to Stand for the Right

Douglas Na'a is the director for the It Is Written School of Evangelism called SALT (Soul-winning And Leadership Training) on the campus of Southern Adventist University. Douglas has spent many years conducting revival meetings and public evangelism across the globe and has served as a Pastor in various conferences in the NAD. When asked for his bio, he replied "Douglas Na'a loves Jesus." 

 

Shawn Paris | Seminar - Resolving Everyday Conflicts

Shawn Paris has served as a pastor for 23 years with emphasis in youth and family ministries. He currently serves as the Director of Camp Ministries and Missions for the Chesapeake Conference. When he is not neck deep in work, he likes to spend time doing fine woodworking, canoeing, and playing guitar. Shawn is married to Michelle and together they have two daughters, Julianne and Stephanie.

Tim H. Aka, CFA | Seminar - End Game Economics: The Interplay of Finance and Prophecy

Tim Aka heads up the General Conference Investment Office (GCIO) and serves as Associate Treasurer (Investments) for the GC. Tim has served in the financial services industry, including stints at major financial institutions in Canada. He has a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto and received his undergraduate degrees in Physics and Mathematics at Andrews University. As an avid student of the Bible and biblical prophecy, he has also studied the relationship between economic events and eschatology.   He has authored two books on the subject: The Financial Crisis in Bible Prophecy and End Game Economics. Tim has been married for 37 years to Sharon Aka ,PhD, RN, who is a consultant in the areas of Education and Leadership.  They have three adult children.

Tony Williams | Seminar - The Why and How of Men's Ministry

Tony works as an engineer which he considers a great funding source for his involvement in the Lord's work. Growing-up life experiences have helped direct his strong interest and involvement in Men's Ministries and Adventist Education.  He co-founded organizations in both areas, including MMOF in 2006. He loves being a dad, time with his lovely wife and his list of hobbies begins with photography.

John Rengifo | Seminar - The Nuts & Bolts of Men's Ministry

John Rengifo is the new Ministerial Director for the Chesapeake Conference. Just prior to this, he was the lead pastor at the Ellicott City Church. He has been a pastor/evangelist in Pennsylvania, Oregon, and Maryland.  John has a passion for men to be godly leaders in the home, the church, and the community. He has done leadership development for men and currently serves as the chair of the Maryland Men of Faith Officers.

Elijah Ramjattan | Seminar - Sacred Masculinity - “What is a Man?”

Elijah serves as the Campus Ministries Director and Chaplain at Highland View Academy, where he has the privilege of guiding young hearts towards a deeper understanding of their faith. Originally hailing from the captivating land of Canada, he brings a unique perspective to his role. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies from Weimar University, he has nurtured a solid foundation of knowledge and a burning passion for the Gospel. Throughout his life, youth ministry has been an integral part of his journey, firmly believing in the transformative power of investing in the next generation. This all would not be possible without the support of his wonderful wife, Jo-Anna.

Akeem James | Seminar - Sacred Masculinity - “Boys to Men”

Akeem was born on the Caribbean island of Trinidad. He lived there for 12 years, and then came to the United States at the age of 12, in 2001. In 2005 he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ after to a series of prophecy meetings by Amazing Facts. In 2007, he was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Having a great desire to share Jesus, his love, and the three angels messages, Akeem launched a ministry called Ultimate Cry in 2012. Since that time, he attended Washington Adventist University for his Bachelors in Theology, then Andrews University for a Masters in Divinity; he is currently acquiring his Masters in Social Work. All the while Akeem has continued to develop Ultimate Cry, granting him the opportunity to live out his greatest desire: communicating to others the message of salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
